"Book Route Pro transformed our fulfilment speed. We went from a five-day average to under forty-eight hours, and our damage rate dropped to near zero. They genuinely understand the physical quirks of shipping books — spine alignment, weight distribution, moisture control."— Harriet Langley, operations director, Fenwick & Hale Publishing

Map your next chapterWhat we do with your books
End-to-end logistics built specifically for the publishing industry, not adapted from generic freight models.
Warehousing and inventory
Climate-controlled storage designed for paper goods. Our barcode-driven system tracks every ISBN in real time, giving you instant visibility into stock levels. We handle returns processing and can segregate damaged copies before they re-enter your supply chain.
Pick, pack and despatch
Whether it is a single proof copy to an author or a pallet load to a high-street retailer, our team picks accurately and packs securely. We use custom book mailers that minimise transit damage and reduce material waste by up to thirty per cent compared to generic packaging.
Same-day and next-day delivery
Urgent restock for a signing event? A last-minute review copy? Our express tier guarantees same-day despatch with next-day arrival anywhere in mainland England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland and Channel Islands follow a forty-eight-hour window.
Trade and direct-to-reader sales
We integrate with major trade ordering platforms including Gardners, Bertrams and direct EDI feeds. For publishers selling direct, our API connects to Shopify, WooCommerce and custom storefronts so orders flow straight into our fulfilment queue without manual re-keying.
Print-on-demand coordination
If you use a print-on-demand supplier we can act as the consolidation hub, receiving short-run batches and merging them with your main stock. This means a single despatch to the retailer regardless of print origin, cutting carriage costs and simplifying invoicing.
Reporting and analytics
Our publisher dashboard shows real-time despatch status, return rates, regional sales heat-maps and seasonal trend forecasts. Monthly PDF reports are generated automatically, and you can export raw data for your own analysis at any time.
How a book moves through our network
Four stages from your printer to the reader's hands — transparent at every step.
Inbound receipt
Pallets arrive at our Moen-le-Carroll hub. Each carton is scanned, weighed and allocated a bay within two hours of arrival. Discrepancies trigger an instant alert to your account manager.
Inventory integration
Stock feeds update across every connected sales channel simultaneously. You see accurate availability on your own website, on trade platforms and in our dashboard — no lag, no overselling.
Order fulfilment
Orders are batched hourly. Our pickers follow optimised routes through the warehouse to reduce handling time. Each parcel is weighed a second time as a quality gate before labelling.
Delivery and tracking
Parcels enter our carrier network with full tracking passed back to you and your customer. If a delivery fails, our system automatically schedules a retry and notifies the buyer by email.
What the industry says
"As a self-published author managing three titles, I needed a partner who would treat a ten-copy order with the same care as a thousand-copy run. Book Route Pro does exactly that. Their dashboard is intuitive and the support team responds within the hour."— Daniel Osei, independent author and illustrator
"We featured Book Route Pro in our annual logistics review and were impressed by their regional depot strategy, which cuts average transit distance by thirty-seven per cent compared to single-hub competitors."— The Bookseller, trade press feature, March 2025

No. We work with independent authors shipping as few as five copies a month and with publishers moving tens of thousands of units weekly. Pricing scales with volume, so larger accounts benefit from lower per-unit rates, but there is no entry threshold.
Returned books arrive at our hub, where they are inspected and graded. Saleable copies re-enter your inventory automatically. Damaged copies are quarantined and you receive a condition report with photographs so you can decide whether to pulp, donate or attempt resale at a reduced price.
